SMS Opt-In & Consent
Published: January 28, 2026This page describes the opt-in workflow used by VisBets for promotional messages and phone-number based account verification. It is intended to provide proof of consent for messaging providers and regulators.
How Users Opt In
- User visits the VisBets website or mobile app and requests private testing access by submitting their email and optionally a phone number via the private testing form.
- If the user provides a phone number, they are presented with a clear consent checkbox and confirmation text describing message types (account verification, testing invitations, occasional promotional messages) before the phone number is submitted.
- After submission, the user receives an initial SMS containing a short confirmation message and instructions to reply STOP to opt out.
- All opt-ins are logged with timestamp, IP address (where available), and the exact consent text accepted by the user.

How to Unsubscribe (STOP)
Users can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any SMS message from VisBets. Unsubscribe requests are processed immediately and the phone number is marked as opted-out in our messaging system. Users may also contact us directly to request removal.
Recordkeeping & Accessibility
We log the timestamp, phone number, consent text, and the source of the opt-in (web form, QR code, in-app). This page serves as a publicly accessible description of our opt-in workflow.
